Wausau Town Council informs public of lawsuit filed against Town and Fire Chief …………

By | February 9, 2018

Members of the Town Council released information Thursday about a lawsuit filed in United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida against the Town and Wausau Fire Chief by 2016 Washington County District 5 county commission candidate Lynn Gothard.  In the lawsuit, Gothard alleges the Town and fire chief unlawfully silenced Gothard’s exercise of her First Amendment right to political speech.  (That story to be published separately.)
