Washington County students receive a variety of awards Monday night ………..

Presentation of various awards highlighted Monday night’s meeting of the Washington County School Board.


Martin L. King Essay Competition recipients ...    1st Place – Trace Weaver – Roulhac Middle School; 2nd Place – Bryan Cooper – Roulhac Middle School; and 3rd Place – Jerimine Gainey – Vernon Middle School.





Quiz Bowl Competition   …   Four students made it to the oral rounds of the Quiz Bowl Competition, earning 4th Place in the state were River Basinger, Austin Blaces, Lana Bush, and Bailey Lunsford.  Receiving 1st Place in Special Talent was River Basinger and receiving 1st Place in Social Studies in his division was Austin Blaces.



District Spelling Bee Winners   …   1st Place – Adriyanna White – Roulhac Middle School; 2nd Place – Jonel Gordon, Vernon Middle School; and 3rd Place – Nathan Hodges – Vernon Middle School.   RMS student Adriyanna White will represent Washington County School District at the Big Bend Regional Spelling Bee to be held Saturday, Feb. 17th at the Aquilina Howell Student Services Center in Tallahassee.
