Jeanette Johnson Yon, age 81, beloved wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-Grandmother and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. By her bedside we’re her 3 girls, grandchildren & her sister Linda Johnson Campbell.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted family, daughters Diane Yon Sprayberry (Richard) Childersburg, Al, Denise Yon Congleton (Bruce), Havana, Fl, Jan Yon Martinez (Adalberto), Quincy, Fl, 8 grandchildren, Sunshine Sprayberry, Quincy, Fl, Ashlynn Adank(Jason), Tallahassee, Fl, Jana Barnes (Lee), Quincy, Fl, Brittany Neel (Melissa), Havana, Fl, Richard Sprayberry (Jamie), Madison, Al, Heather Shields, (Ray), Tallahassee, Paige Huffman (Rick), Tallahassee, Fl, Christy West (David), Tallahassee. 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-children. Sisters, Imogene Moody (Carl), Panama City, Agnes Sawyer (Bennett), Panama City, Linda Campbell (Jim), Tallahassee, one brother, Jackie Johnson (Bonnie), Cottondale.

Going before her was her loving husband Hilton Yon, her father, Theo Johnson and mother Alma Johnson.

Jeanette was employed with the Jackson County School board.  She was an aide for 9 years and a teacher for 21 years. She graduated from Cottondale High School and received her BA degree from University of West Florida. She was a member of North Florida Baptist Church, Tallahassee, Fl. And was active in her Sunday school class, One Accord. Jeanette enjoyed baking cakes, and taking food to the sick, bereaved and elders of the church. She also enjoyed making hats for cancer patients.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. CST until 2:00 p.m. CST on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the North Florida Baptist Church (3000 N Meridian Road,Tallahassee, Fl 32312). Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. CST with Rev. Tommy Stone officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am CST, 12:00 pm EST on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Cottondale First Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida.
