Chipley Garden Club President Debbi Mitchell announced that the Beautification Award went to Steve and Tammy Ayers, 1331 Coleman Avenue in Chipley. Chamber Director Ted Everett accepted the certificate on behalf of the Ayers.
The following four individuals were elected to the Chamber Board of Directors – Michael Kozar, Julie Dillard, Cindy Johnson Brown and Nicole Barefield.
Issac Fuentes, Rivertown Community Church, presented a program on leadership at last week’s meeting.
Fuentes said that he felt churches form the basis of any community and without leadership in homes people flounder. Those same problems follow over into business and the community as a whole.
He recommended that each person find something good to do for someone else on a regular basis and they will lead their community.
