Debra Brown, representing New Vizh-Uhn, Inc., says the volunteer-based program works continuously to improve the quality of life of the community, with an emphasis on the youth.
Guest speaker at last Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Chipley Kiwanis Club, Brown said New Viz-Uhn works diligently to make a difference in the community.
On the list of New Viz-Uhn activities, Brown included scholarships and said last year they awarded three $1,000 scholarships to deserving students.
“We encourage students to work hard and achieve,” said Brown. She also stressed that “every dime New Viz-Uhn makes goes back into the community”.
In addition to placing an emphasis on the youth of the community, Brown said New Viz-Uhn regularly provides multiple Thanksgiving food baskets to people facing financial hardships and help provide school supplies for children of the community.
“We work to help others have a better life,” concluded Brown.
