The Town Council had received a bid and alternate from the firm but voted to approve the alternate proposed by the local company.
The initial bid from Mike Moody Roofing was based on the specifications by Dewberry and was $95,000; however, the alternate bid submitted by Moody was $24,000. The alternate bid was under the grant funding received from the State and councilmembers decided to go with that bid.
The Walking trail will be 4 feet wide and 120 feet long, and will be constructed of pressure treated wood and Trex boards and will meet all ADA standards.
