Historical Society members, the public, and elected officials were on hand for the dedication.

Chipley Mayor Tommy Sasser welcomed those attending Friday’s dedication of the Veteran’s Memorial Wall at the Washington County Historial Society Museum in Chipley.
Along with praising and thanking the Veterans for their military service to keep the U.S. free, Sasser presented Washington County Historical Society President Dorothy Odom with his military mess kit to be displayed in the museum with other military memorabilia given to the museum.
Those attending the dedication also toured the museum, enjoyed refreshments and spend time sharing stories about their military service.
