The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports there were no serious injuries reported in a Holmes County school bus crash earlier today.

However, the FHP also reports that 30 passengers were transported to Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, with some of those having sustained minor injuries.

FHP reports that bus driver, 29-year-old Amanda Stephens of Caryville, Florida, was traveling west on Steverson Road, passing Guitar Lane at the time of the accident.

According to the FHP report, the bus driver was traveling too fast for the roadway conditions, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.    The bus veered to the left, off the roadway as it was approaching a wooden bridge.  The bus then traveled off the side of the bridge, overturning onto the driver’s side.
