Guest speaker for yesterday’s Kiwanis Club meeting was Wyatt Patterson, Chipley FFA President, who discussed what involvement in the Future Farmers of America program can mean to young people.

Patterson said that the skills developed through the FFA program carry over into a student’s adult life and teaches career development and leadership development, as well as providing supervised agricultural experiences.

Patterson said the FFA program allows young people to participate in a variety of events that will help them in various aspects of their future lives – from public speaking to dealing with animals and horticulture.
