Panama City, FL – On March 3, 2018, droves of children and young adults from ages nine to fourteen will descend on Gulf Coast State College for the FIRST® LEGO® League Northwest Florida Regional Championship. While the teams will arrive as early as 7:00 a.m., the tournament will open for public viewing from 1:15 – 4:30 p.m. in GCSC’s Advanced Technology Center.

FIRST® LEGO® League immerses students in real-world science and technology challenges. Teams of six design a solution around a scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO® robots, which perform a series of missions based on an annual theme. This year’s theme is water, its use, and its properties.
