In 2014 The Goulding Agency, a public relations and media production firm in Chipley, Florida, was hired by the Jackson County, Florida Tourist Development Council to promote tourism and visitation to Jackson County, thorough photos, video and long-format documentary production.
Since that time the firm has worked with many other businesses and corporate entities in Jackson County, including Family Dollar, Catalyst Fabric Solutions and Covenant Hospice.
‘We have been in the right place at the right time’, says Debbie Goulding, President of The Goulding Agency, ‘and we have developed a knowledge base as well as a passion for this area that comes across in our production’.
In addition to producing documentaries featuring Marianna Caverns, the City of Marianna, the City of Sneads and the fresh water systems in the area, the firm has also worked with the ‘Marianna Marketplace’ as well as the ‘Merry-Anna Mistletoe Market’, along with many political candidates in Jackson County.
In a recent meeting with Marianna City Farmers Market personnel, The Goulding Agency was tasked with freshening their online presence, including Facebook and website, along with developing an awareness and educational campaign to make the Farmers Market better known to the public.
‘In this day of genetically modified foods, pesticides, allergies and unknown food additives, it’s reassuring to know that the foods grown locally are not only fresh, but also healthy and safe’, says Debbie Goulding, ‘and our job is simply to let folks know that they can be healthier and also support their local economy by supporting their local farmers’.
Providing public relations, media production and social media efforts for other Northwest Florida entities over the past decade as diverse as WestPoint Home in Chipley, Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida, the City of Vernon, Florida, Florida Panhandle Technical College in Chipley, and various special events and festivals such as the Wausau Possum Festival, the firm has become adept at capitalizing on opportunity and producing compelling content illustrating the highlights of a business.
‘We will be retooling the Marianna City Farmers Market City website and social media, and we will also bring to bear a very large audience of our own media outlets’, said Goulding.
‘With over 40,000 unique viewers on Facebook alone, we can disseminate information quickly and effectively, and we enjoy a cooperative partnership with regional media outlets, making the task of telling the story for the Farmers Market a relatively easy one’.
The firm was recently contracted to produce a series of video documentaries highlighting the coastal regions of Northwest Florida, in which they employed extensive use of unmanned aerial vehicles, more commonly referred to as ‘drones’, and, in conjunction with Florida Panhandle Technical College, helped to photograph and chronicle in a video production what is commonly called ‘the Highway 79 Project’ in Bonifay, Holmes County and Washington County.
‘We plan to use this very new technology to produce photo and video presentations to illustrate and promote the positives of the very old subject of farming, health and nutrition’, said Goulding, ‘and we have no doubt that this effort will succeed’.
