Florida’s seasonally adjusted total nonagricultural employment was 8,670,500 in January 2018, an increase of 1,500 jobs over the month. The state gained 150,900 jobs over the year, an increase of 1.8 percent.
The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Chipola region was 4.6 percent in January 2018. This rate was 0.9 percentage point lower than the year-ago rate of 5.5 percent. The labor force was 41,478 up 512 over the year. There were 1,894 unemployed residents in the region.
