Lots of smiles, enthusiastic remarks and raised hands accompanied the over 100 local 6th grade students from Roulhac Middle School in Chipley, Florida as they got a hands-on opportunity to experience some of the newest science and technology this week, as seen in these photos by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.

Florida Panhandle Technical College is hosting a four-day STEM session, through a grant from Motorola, dealing with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, on Monday, March 12 through Thursday, March 15, and the educational event is already a huge success.

6th Grade students from Roulhac Middle School experienced activities with airborne drones, 3D printing, green screen video production, rockets, electrical and electronic systems and underwater robots, today and continuing tomorrow, following the same experience by Vernon Middle School earlier this week.

Instructors from the Technical College have tailored programs over the four day program to illustrate real-world use of this cutting-edge technology to these students, while making the activities fun and exciting.
