- Improve the health of Washington County residents and all Floridians by reducing tobacco use
- Eliminate the initiation of the use of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco among children.
- Educate the public on all health issues as they relate to tobacco
- To act as an advocate for positive reform
- Help people quit using tobacco products
- Maintain a successful Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) Program
The Tobacco Free Partnership is working with community organizations and leaders committed to educating others about tobacco use, helping protect young people from tobacco, and strengthening local policies, especially those that protect the public from secondhand smoke.
Under policy efforts, the Partnership includes reducing the use of smokeless tobacco, bringing awareness concerning advertising and marketing tactics targeting children and youth, helping businesses create and enhance policies that support Tobacco Free Grounds, implementing smoke-free housing, keep parks and sporting complexes tobacco-free in a move to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke.
