Regardless of economic challenges affecting the Northwest Florida community, there is seldom a time when that community fails to come together in support of one of their own.
Time and again, victims of vehicle accidents, sports mishaps or natural causes are aided by their fellow citizens, making this area truly one of the most giving communities around.
This week is no exception, as a local business participates in helping a family, following the tragic loss of one of its members.
Recently, local resident Rachel Walls left us at an early age, leaving behind a family with two young children, and Javier’s Mexican Grill in Chipley, Florida is helping with the expenses.
‘We will be donating one hundred percent of all proceeds in the restaurant on Wednesday, March 21, to the family of Rachel Walls’, said Emily Valdovinos on Monday.
‘We always try to give back to the community, contributing to schools and non-profits when possible, but this involves one of our own, and we are going to give a little more than usual’, echoed Javier Valdovinos, co-owner of the restaurant.
‘Join us here at Javier’s Mexican Grill, at 1414 Main Street in Downtown Chipley, all day for lunch and dinner, on this Wednesday, March 21, 2018, as we support the family of Rachel Walls’, continues Emily, ‘and as we contribute all of our sales to this worthwhile cause’.
Javier’s is just a mile north of I-10 at Exit 120, and remains one of the most popular restaurants in the area, due in equal parts to authentic Mexican food served ‘in style and with a smile’, as well as the giving spirit of the owners Javier and Emily Valdovinos.
Friends and family have also started an online fund for Rachel’s family, and Javier’s is accepting contributions from those unable to join them on Wednesday.
