Panama City, FL – The Gulf Coast State College Enactus team was recently named a regional champion at the Enactus United States Virtual Regional Competition. They will travel to Kansas City, Missouri to compete against more than 100 other regional champions from around the country at the Enactus United States National Exposition, from May 20 – 22.
GCSC students presented a live, multi-media summary of the entrepreneurial-based projects they developed and implemented during the academic year. They were judged by a panel of business leaders on how successful they were at using business concepts that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.
The GCSC Enactus team has contributed to the community for the past five years with more than ten projects. “Our team is small in size but big in heart,” said Emmanuel Hernandez, GCSC Enactus team advisor. “Thanks to multiple partnerships with other student organizations and community partners we were able to impact more than 370 individuals and create $156,694 of indirect financial impact.”
