The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that Darlene Williams, 60, of Bonifay, Florida, who was sent to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama with critical injuries on Sunday following a two-vehicle crash has died from the injuries sustained in the accident.

According to the FHP, Williams was turning left out of the driveway at 1509 County Road 177 at the time of the accident.  She was driving a 2011 Toyota Prius.

A 2008 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Devin Miller, 24, of Bonifay, was driving north on CR 177 at that time.

Williams reportedly failed to yield right of way to Miller.  This action caused the front of the Tacoma (Miller) to collide with the left side of the Prius (Williams).

Upon colliding with the Tacoma, Williams’ vehicle continued traveling west until it’s front collided with a tree in the tree line and came to final rest facing west with it front still in contact with a tree.

After the collision with Williams vehicle, the Tacoma rotated county clockwise and came to final rest on the west grass should of CR 177 facing south.

Devin Miller was transported to Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, following the accident.  She was listed as having received minor injuries.  The infant in that vehicle received no injuries.
