2 dead and 1 seriously injured in I-10 crash …………….

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that two Colorado men died in a crash on I-10 in Walton County early Sunday morning and a third man received serious injuries.

 

According to the FHP, a 1999 Ford Explorer was westbound on I-10 at mile marker 86 at the time of the accident.

 

The FHP reports the Explorer left the roadway on the shoulder where it collided with a tree.  The vehicle then caught fire and the driver and one passenger died at the scene.  Their names have not been released pending notification of their families. 

 

A second passenger,  Robert Lane Symons, 49, of Pueblo, Colorado, escaped from the vehicle and was transported to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with serious injuries.
