KUWAIT- Governor Rick Scott is bringing reminders of home to the Florida National Guard and Army Reserve servicemen and women deployed in Kuwait. While meeting with troops and military officials, Governor Scott will be sharing coffee from Lucky Goat of Tallahassee, Buddy Brew of Tampa and Social Grounds of Jacksonville, as well as fresh orange juice from Sun Harvest Citrus of Fort Myers and key lime pie cookies from Kristi’s Key Lime Cookies of Naples.
Governor Scott said, “While these brave men and women are serving their country thousands of miles from home, I am sure they are missing the local flavors of Florida. I am proud to be in Kuwait and to share these products from great Florida businesses with our troops. It is important that we all do what we can to honor our active duty military, veterans, and their families.”
Ben Pautsch, owner of Lucky Goat Coffee said, “It’s a privilege to know that our coffee is being served to the troops in Kuwait. I hope the coffee will help lift their spirits as they fight for our freedom.”
Susan Ward, co-founder and co-owner of Buddy Brew Coffee said, “At Buddy Brew, we have a passion to Brew Good and Do Good, so we are so happy to hear that the troops overseas will be enjoying some of our coffee as they defend our country.
