By | July 12, 2018

On 7/10/18 at 12:34 FHP troopers were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Interstate 10, eastbound at mile marker 76. Upon arrival, troopers observed what was left of a semi-truck on the paved emergency lane on the right shoulder. Contact with the driver of the truck was made and the driver was identified as Larry D. Duck (55) from Alma, Georgia (shown at right).

During the cleanup of the vehicle fire, the owners of the trailer P&M Trucking Inc were contacted. They advised that there were none of their drivers in the area and that the truck pulling the trailer did not match any vehicle that the company owns. The owners of the trailer further advised that they did not do business with that company and wanted to report the trailer stolen.

Coffee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the trailer was stolen and assisted with the investigation.

The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail for Felony Grand Theft.
