Chipley City Council members quickly decided Thursday evening to have Fred Fox Enterprises, Inc. submit a Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Revitalization application on their behalf to fund water line replacement in a number of areas around the city.
Along with five specific areas that could benefit from the funding, councilmembers also designated four additional areas that might be funded if bids for the various projects came in on the low side.
As part of the package the city had to agree to provid $50,000 in matching funds if the grant funding comes through.
