Chipley’s Planning and Zoning Commission gave their initial approval in a 4-0 to a zoning change requested for property located at 1232 South Boulevard on Thursday.

The property, owned by Ruth Nallick, will be re-zoned Neighborhood Commercial if approved by the Chipley City Council.

Businessman Gary Clark, who is buying the property, said it will be used for an office for Northwest Florida Equity Group and Gallo Enterprises.  He told neighboring property owners at the meeting there would be no major change in the traffic density using the new offices and he expected to close on the property in late August.  He added that the property immediately adjacent to their property would remain classified as “medium density”.
