School Board members Lou Cleveland, Vann Brock, Susan Roberts, Terry Ellis and Milton Brown made it clear at Monday night’s School Board meeting they will support the one-half cent sales tax on the County’s August 28th ballot and they would like the voters of the county to do likewise.

Describing the proposed one-half cent sales tax as a “Win-Win” for students and the public school system, all concerned want voters to remember the following reasons to vote in favor of the sales tax:
- Provide technology to give all students an equal educational opportunity.
- Allow all citizens to contribute to the educational suppport of our students.
- Generate funds for schools from non-resident shoppers.
- Maintain schools in their new condition and allow for future remodeling and expansion.
- Expand student course offerings to include industry certifications.
- Update communication and technology infrastructure.
