The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports minor injuries in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Jackson County.
According to the FHP, Jeffery Daughtry, 51, of Lillington, North Carolina, was traveling on U.S. 231 in a 2004 Kenworth truck/trailer, just south of State Road 273 when the driver apparently lost control of the rig on the wet roadway and the unit began to rotate.
The truck and trailer left the roadway and slid down the embankment on the east shoulder of the roadway.
The driver was transported to an Alabama hospital with minor injuries.
The FHP reports charges are pending the outcome of the crash investigation.
