Taking time out in the middle of their monthly meeting to participate in a conference call with Florida Republican Party Chairman Blaise Ingoglia, a dozen representatives from the Washington County Republican party, including most of the members of the Executive Committee, met on Monday evening, September 10, 2018 in Downtown Chipley, Florida.

Upcoming races, including County and State, were discussed as of prime importance, and the announcement was made that Washington County currently enjoyed 15, 734 registered voters, of which 8,133 are Republicans, 5,306 are Democrats, and 2,295 are in the ‘other’ category.

Todd Abbott, currently two-term District 4 Washington County Commissioner, was awarded a stipend to augment his campaign budget, and with fewer races than normal at the county level, Abbott received funding in excess of what is normally allocated to Republican candidates, while state candidates were also fiscally supported.

Committee members encouraged the public to vote for Todd Abbott for County Commissioner District 4, Rick Scott for Senate, Ron DeSantis for Governor and Matt Caldwell for Commissioner of Agriculture on November 6, 2018.
