Board 4-0 to approve the proposed budget as presented at Monday’s final budget hearing.

With little fanfare Monday night the Washington County School Board said while they had reduced the millage the past several years they weren’t going to take that track this year and approved the following final budget:
- General Fund $ 39,667,731.46
- Special Revenue (SFS) 2,188,700.20
- Special Revenue (Other) 1,165,314.54
- Debt Service 4,337.77
- Capital Projects Fund 3,119,922.33
- Enterprise Fund 39,703,000.57
- Internal Service fund 2,427,874.49
Board members were also pleased to announce that school enrollment in the district is up by about 100 students, which pleased them because them because they said enrollment has been declining for several years.
Pleased that the one-half cent sales tax was supported by the voters, board members said they want those dollars watched very carefully and want to see students benefit with more technology available, along with renovation and new construction in the district.
