The meeting included introduction of the two new licensed mental health specialists recently hired by the School District – Kimberly McIntyre and Melissa Braxton.
Baord members also set a 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18th workshop to discuss what they termed “bad dirt” found when contractors began work on updating the restrooms at the CHS stadium in Chipley. They were told workers will have to dig out the dirt to a depth of four feet, “clean” it, and then repack the dirt. One estimate for the work was placed at just under $200,000; however, board members were told there are other approaches to the work and they will be discussed at the workshop.
