To the delight of local parents, and as part of the 2018 Junior Cheer Camp fundraiser executed by the Chipley, Florida High School Cheerleading Squad, around 40 aspiring cheerleaders, age 4 years and up, had the opportunity to join the Tigers Cheer squad for several days of instruction, including gymnastics and cheer routines, as seen in these photos from the game by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley.
The staff from Real Florida Magazine was invited to spend part of the day with the group, and, as seen, the culmination of the Cheer Camp was participation in the ‘Pink Out’ Celebration for Breast Cancer Awareness on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Philip Rountree Stadium at the Chipley High School versus Cottondale High School football game.
Washington County Commissioner District 4 Todd Abbott sponsored his granddaughter Isla, one of the group of young ladies who delighted in entertaining the audience and posing for photos.
‘This is a heart-warming experience for me’, said Abbott at the event, ‘and one which will stay in our hearts and minds for some time to come. What truly impressed us was the patience and love that the Chipley cheerleaders exhibited in dealing with these children, and seeing this is just one more indication that our future is indeed bright’.
