Downtown Chipley was the place to be on Saturday, September 22, 2018 as the 9th Annual Scarecrow Festival took place, to the delight of locals and visitors alike.
Washington County Commissioner Todd Abbott, recently garnering the endorsement of State Representative Brad Drake, local businessman Jeff Trawick, George Gainer, GAC’s Allan Bense and Derwin White, Griff Godfrey, Ole Ellis, Zenna Corbin, Hulan Carter, Sister Milligan, George Fisher and Terry Ellis was in attendance and spent part of the day with State Senator George Gainer.
‘This is a great big slice of the quality of life we enjoy here in Northwest Florida’, said Abbott as he and Gainer made the rounds of vendor booths and submissions to the scarecrow contest.
