‘We have been without power since the storm hit, and we are concerned for our associates, many of whom have not been able to work, which will impact them and their families’, said a spokesperson for Family Dollar Distribution Center in Marianna, Florida.
The Distribution Center called in those associates able to get to the facility, giving them jobs to do that did not require power, and the response was significant.
‘We are offering our associates the ability to come get water for household use’, said Family Dollar, ‘and our management team is here to help coordinate the effort’.
Family Dollar Distribution, one of the larger employers in Jackson County, Florida, was just one of the hard-hit in the area, as Marianna and Jackson County digs out of the havoc caused by Hurricane Michael.
Downtown Marianna was also hard hit, as seen in these FAA Part 107-compliant drone aerial photos by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.
