Chipley Kiwanians welcome Debbie Moore as speaker at Tuesday’s meeting ………………

Along with welcoming Moore, Washington County Christian School, to this week’s meeting, club members marked their calendars for the following special events to which the public is also invited:

 

  •  Nov. 20th Kiwanis Satellite Club meeting on Nov. 20th at 5:30 p.m. at Skin & Bubba’s Restaurant located on South Hwy 77 in Chipley.  Those interested in learning more about the Kiwanis are invited to attend.

 

  •  Dec. 6th ‘Pancakes with Santa’ being held at Kate Smith Elementary School in Chipley from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Tickets for a child-size plate are $5.00 each and tickets for an adult-size plate are $8.00 each.  Tickets are available from any member of the Kiwanis Club and will also be available at the door.  Santa will be on-site to visit with the children.

 

  •  It was also announced that the Gourmet Nut sale is already underway for the Chipley Kiwanis Club.  The nuts are for sale for $20.00 a can and are currently available at Chipley Gun & Pawn and will soon be available by contacting members of the club.

 

When it came her turn to take the floor, Moore updated the Kiwanians regarding activitivities at the Washington County Christian School, including the following:

 

  •  The school is attracting students not only from Washington County, but Bay County and Alabama.
  •  She described the school “as growing with a family atmosphere”.
  •  Along with school year classes, the school offers after school activities and summer programs.
  •  Offers a college prep curriculum.

 

Washington County Christian School provides Christ-centered, biblically-based K-3 thru 12th grade education to promote excellence in academics to equip students with Christ-honoring leadership skills, and develop their God- given potential which empowers them to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
