November 11, 2018 Marks 100 Years of Commemorating Veteran’s Day, Originally Titled ‘Armistice Day’ in 1919

Veterans Day is always observed on November 11, regardless of the day of the week on which it falls. This year, it will be marked on Sunday, which also marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

Though the Veterans Day National Ceremony, like many ceremonies around the nation, is held on Veterans Day itself, many communities may hold Veterans Day parades or other celebrations on surrounding days.

Here are a few photos from Veteran’s Day commemoration ceremonies in Vernon and Chipley in Washington County, Florida in November 2017, as seen by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.
