Agnes Whiddon Barbee of Grand Ridge, Florida beautifully and peacefully passed away on November 5th, 2018 at the age of 96.
Preceding her passing were James Monroe Barbee, her husband of 63 years, her mother and father Nora & Chester Whiddon, and her five brothers and sisters, Hazel, Junior, Billy, Jimmie and Glen.
Throughout her life, Agnes excelled as a mother and as a wife, working at a shipyard during the war marking steel panels destined for the sides of battleships, rolling cigars at a factory in Greensboro and becoming a life-long Cosmetologist with her own custom-built beauty shop.
She is survived by her son Jimmy, her beloved Yorkie Bella Rose, and by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of a life well lived will be held Saturday, November 17th, at Marianna Chapel at 1pm Central, with burial at Cypress Cemetery.
