~ Newly redesigned Miami Heat specialty license plates now available ~
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) is pleased to release the newly redesigned Miami Heat specialty license plate. The new plate is now available in all tax collector and tag agency offices. As of October 1, 2018, there were 36,867 valid registrations of this specialty license plate.
Floridians interested in purchasing the new Miami Heat plate are encouraged to visit their local tax collector or tag agency office. A list of locations can be found online at https://www.flhsmv.gov/locations. There will be a $25 specialty plate fee in addition to the other registration fees. Revenue from the sale of the plate is allocated to the Florida Professional Sports Development Trust Fund to attract and support major sports events in the state and economic development of the sports industry.
The Miami Heat specialty license plate was enacted by the Florida Legislature in 1994. A complete list of Florida’s specialty license plates can be found online at www.flhsmv.gov/dmv/specialtytags/.
