When the Chipley Woman’s Club members gathered for their monthly meeting Wednesday the first order of business was packing gift boxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas project.
Club members said they were pleased to have the opportunity to give to the children around the world as they prepare gifts for their family and extended family members.
Woman’s Club President Renea Rountree welcomed the members and guests to the November monthly club meeting and made the following announcements:
- Nov. 15th and 16th – ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ at Chipley High School.
- Nov. 29th – Game Night at 6 p.m. at the Woman’s Club
- Dec. 6th – Pancakes with Santa at Kate Smith Elementary School.
- Dec. 7th – Chipley Christmas Festival
- Dec. 8th – ‘A Chipley Christmas’ at the Spanish Trail Playhouse.
- March 2, 2019 – Woman’s Club District Meeting and Art Show will be held at the Chipley clubhouse.
The Chipley Woman’s Club was founded in 1921 and is the oldest civic club in Chipley. The club represents women of different ages and diverse talents and interests.
The General Club meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, at the clubhouse located at 607 Fifth Street in Chipley. Programs and projects are promoted through the following departments – Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs and Public Affairs.
