TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — On Friday Governor Rick Scott announced that Florida’s unemployment rate dropped in November from 3.4 to 3.3 percent, the lowest level in 12 years. Every county in Florida has experienced a drop in the unemployment rate since December 2010. Florida businesses have created more than 1.67 million private-sector jobs since December 2010, including 23,000 private-sector jobs in November. Over the past year, 251,200 new private-sector jobs were created in Florida. Florida’s annual job growth rate has outpaced the nation for 79 of the past 80 months. Governor Scott said, “Being Governor is the best job in the world, and I am excited about the economic success that Florida has been able to achieve over the past eight years. I will never stop working on what’s important to Floridians – jobs, a great education and safe communities.”
