In celebration of Arbor Day, the Florida Forest Service in Washington County gave away trees on Friday. The event was held at the Washington County Agriculture Center in Chipley and continued until the last tree is given away, which didn’t take long.
The following tree species were available to the public – fringe tree, bald cypress, red maple, eastern redbud, southern red oak, southern magnolia, live oak, and tulip poplar.
