Washington County School Board makes quick work of agenda Monday night ……….

Washington County School Board members devoted the first half of their meeting Monday night to recognizing student achievements (story separate) and then made quick work of the approving the following agenda items:

  • Payment of Monthly Bills, Financial Report and Budget Amendements.
  • Minutes of the Jan. 14, 2019 Regualr Board Meeting.
  • Out-of-state travel for KMS AR Reward students to Carmike 12 Movie Theatre in Dothan on April 2nd.
  • Out-of-state travel for KMS AR Reward students to Axion Air in Dothan on March 21st.
  • Out-of-state travel for RMS eighth grade students and staff to Southeast Worlds of Work Career Fair in Dothan on Feb. 20th.
  • Out-of-state travel for RMS Boys Basketball team to attend an Atlanta Hawks basketball game in Atlanta on March 1st-2nd.
  • Out-of-state travel for RMS eighth grade stduents and staff to travel to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York Aprl 13th-19th.
  • Purchase order request for FPTC Drafting Computers.
  • Class size Corrective Action Plan.
  • Peformance-based Exit Option Plan.
  • Amended Data Loss Prevention Plan
  • Purchase of two new school buses.
  • Out-of-state travel for CHS Baseball to participate in the Classic Games in Ozark, Alabama on March 1st.
  • Purchase of Transportation Service Truck
  • Purchase of Data Center Service Van.
  • Contract for plumbing services with Davis and Son’s Plumbing.
  • Contract with Donofro Architects.
  • Continuing contract with DAG Architects for School Security.
  • Approval of bid from North Florida Construction, Inc.

The School Board also set a Workshop on Florida Panhandle Technical College to start Master Planning for 3 p.m. on Feb. 18th. That session will be followed by a Shade Meeting on security.
