Meeting in regular session Monday night, Chipley City Council members appointed Mack Campbell and Howard Bolton to the City’s Recreation Advisory Committee.
Council members also responded to their reviews of a possible ‘Noise Ordinance’ being put together by Attorney Michelle Jordan. Council members have been discussing the need for an ordinance that would prohibit sustained loud noises around the city, particularly those noises occuring in neighborhoods between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. The Council was told they could expect a revised ordinance at their April meeting.
Dealing with other agenda items, council members approved the following:
- A loan with Capital City Bank for the purchase of a 2019 Dodge Charger for the Police Department.
- CDBG Grant Administration Services Contract with Fred Fox Enterprises, Inc.
- CDBG Grant Engineering contract.
- FDEP Consent Order.
- P&Z Recommendation for Obert Funeral Home, at 761 Main Street.
- Easter Egg Hunt April 17th at Shivers Park from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
- Advertising for RFP’S for sale of the Mongovern Building, with an April 2nd submission deadline.
