The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that Judy A. Haines, 68, of Knoxville, TN, died as the result of injuries sustained in a three vehicle crash on Hwy 79 in Washington County on Monday.

The FHP reports that Haines was a passenger in a 2007 Honda Accord driven by Scott Andrew Haines, also of Knoxville, who received serious injuries in the accident.

According to the FHP report, Ted Lincoln Roberts, 55, of Lynn Haven was traveling southbound on State Road 79, the Honda was stopped in a construction zone in the southbound travel lane of Hwy 79, and the third vehicle, a 2011 Hyundai Genesis, driven by Mark Edward Harsin of Saltillo, MS, was stopped in the construction zone in the southbound travel lane of the highway.

Harsin and a passenger in his vehicle, 56 year old Shelley Rial Harsin, both received minor injuries in the accident.

The FHP report says the driver of the Dodge Ram apparently failed to observe the stopped traffic and the front of the vehicle he was driving collided with the rear of Honda, which in turn collided with the rear of the Hyundai.

The Honda began to rotate in a clockwise direction off the paved portion of the roadway. The FHP report says the left side of the Honda collided with a non motorist.
