Julie Dillard, representing the Washington County Extension Office, accepted two checks at the Chipley Kiwanis Club Feb. 19th meeting to help with expenses of the 2019 Washington County Youth Fair.
Dillard brought club members up to date concerning this year’s Youth Fair that will run from February 25th – March 2nd at the Ag Center in Chipley.
Describing the event as “a big deal” to the kids of community, Dillard encouraged all members of the community to stop by Youth Fair and view the entries being exhibited by the young people.
Dillard was excited about the response the young people, ages 5 – 18 years of age, have to the programs offered through the Extension Service. From 4-H clubs to summer camps she said those involved in the program learn a variety of like skills that serve them long after they graduate from the program.
