On Saturday, March 2nd at 8:05 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle on Greenhead Road near Porter Pond Road after observing it run through a stop sign.

As the deputy addressed the occupants of the vehicle, an assisting officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) observed a glass pipe laying in the floorboard of the truck.

During the stop, the deputy was advised by the driver, 44-year-old David Conrad of Greenhead, that he was in possession of marijuana.

In addition to the marijuana, the deputy located a plastic bag containing methamphetamine in Conrad’s pocket. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a glass pipe and two additional bags of methamphetamine. A total of more than 16 grams of methamphetamine was seized from Conrad’s possession during the search.

Conrad was arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s Office and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conrad’s passenger, a 36-year-old Bay County resident identified as Michael Brady, was arrested by FWC after the officer conducted a search and located multiple items containing methamphetamine in Brady’s possession.
