Today is a great day for parents of young children to check out the newest addition to the Washington County library system – Playaway Launchpads.
Zedra Hawkins (shown above) says the library is excited to announce the Playaway Launchpads program for checkout at all library locations in Washington County.
Hawkins say the Launchpads come pre-loaded with content for kids, designed with a simple, easy-to-use interface, and are 100% secure.
Launchpad tablets are made to be passed from one set of hands to the next. They come with a durable protective bumper, double tempered glass, and a reinforced USB cord.
There is no download time and no need for Wi-Fi. Access to powerful content is simple as turning on each device — anytime, anywhere.
Launchpads check out with a valid Washington County library card for 21 days. Each device is full of learning games tailored to help children ages 3-5 build early literacy skills to ensure school readiness.
Playaway Launchpads for Washington County are funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida’s LSTA program is administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.
