JCSO arrests woman for attempted murder …….

Released by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office …

On Monday April 29th the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a subject shot at the corner of East Gate and Pinewood in Marianna. Upon arrival deputies learned that during an argument Norquelle Daneal Calhoun shot Sha’meyah Bell once in the torso. Bell was transported to SE Al Medical Center.

Calhoun had fled the area in Bell’s white KIA. Deputies observed Calhoun at the intersection of Hwy 71 and Rocky Creek Rd. Calhoun fled the area, evading the deputies and a be on the look out was sent out.

Later Calhoun was captured in Liberty County by FHP and placed in the Liberty County Jail on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on a narcotics charge. Calhoun will also be charged with attempted murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
