~ 1,312 students are graduating; 483 will participate in two
ceremonies on May 3 at Edgewater Beach Resort ~
Panama City, FL ¬– Gulf Coast State College is holding its 60th Graduation Ceremony and is proud of the 1,312 students who will achieve their dreams of higher education in spite of tremendous adversity.
The time-honored tradition is one of the most important events in the life of the College, and for the first time, will be split into two ceremonies at the Edgewater Beach Resort. The two ceremonies will recognize graduates in the following order:
• 10:00 a.m. Ceremony – Baccalaureate Degree, Associate in Science Degree, and Certificate recipients
• 1:00 p.m. Ceremony – Associate in Arts Degree recipients
Dr. John Holdnak, GCSC President, will preside over the commencement exercises. Colonel Brian Laidlaw, Commander of the 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall Air Force Base, will deliver the keynote address. In that role, Col. Laidlaw supports the 23,000 airmen, civilians, contractors and families who call Tyndall home.
