The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that one Texas man died in a three motorcycle accident on I-10 Thursday afternoon in Washington County. Two other men and one woman are listed in serious condition following the crash.
According to the FHP, 43-year-old Daryl Thompson of Alvardo, Texas died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Listed as injured and in serious condition at area medical facilities are Michael Fife of Hurst, Texas; Jessica Vance of Hurst, Texas; and Mdarrian Benson of Cedar Hill, Texas.
According to the FHP, all three of the motorcycles were traveling east on Interstate 10 in the inside lane, with one driver slowing down to allow the others to catch up. He was struck from behind by Thompson and all three of the motorcycles crashed. All occupants were thrown freom their respective motorcycles. All three vehicles came to final rest on the north shoulder of I-10.
