Meeting in a Workshop session Tuesday afternoon, members of the Washington County Planning Commission reviewed proposed changes to county ordinances dealing with the following:
- Neighborhood Commercial Uses and Floor Area
- Parking Lot Surfaces for Commerical Buildings
- Public Hearing Notice Requirements
- Public Hearing Signs
While discussing the issue of Public Hearing Signs that will ultimately increase the cost of Land Use Change applications, Commissioners indicated their desire to better inform county residents about proposed land use changes being requested by property owners.
Washington County Planner Steve Cramer said the County’s Board of County Commissioners will have the final say on any changes to the county ordinances; however the Planning Commission will address the proposed changes at their June 4th Commission Meeting.
