Recovery by the Numbers:

Individual Assistance (As of 5/7/19)

• 31,318 households approved for nearly $142.5 million.

  – Housing Assistance: 26,799 applications approved for nearly $116.3 million.

  – Other Needs Assistance: 15,268 applications approved for $26.2 million.

• 21,038 homeowners and renters approved for rental assistance.

• Transitional Sheltering Assistance: 23 survivor households currently checked into hotels.

• Housing inspections are 99.99 percent complete. Community Recovery Center (As of 5/7/19)

• 2,279 persons have visited the Bay County Community Recovery Center. The center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. SBA

• A total of 12,582 loans, nearly $634.5 million approved, including nearly $516 million to homeowners/renters and $118.5 million to businesses.

NFIP

• Paid $209.5 million for 4,229 claims (as of 4/30/19). Direct Temporary Housing Assistance

• To date, 936 households have been placed in travel trailers, mobile homes and direct lease properties across the five counties – Bay, Calhoun, Gadsden, Gulf and Jackson – authorized for direct housing assistance.

Mitigation

• FEMA is working to build community resiliency for the next disaster by providing risk reduction, mitigation and resiliency information.

Public Assistance

• Total grants to the State of Florida obligated to reimburse eligible applicants for the cost of debris removal and life-saving emergency protective measures amounts to $150 million (as of 5/7/19).
