By | May 9, 2019

Five years ago, in 2014, the Washington County, Florida Courthouse was condemned due to mold, lead, asbestos and a handful of additional health hazards that rendered the building unfit for human occupation.

Here is Part 3 of a retrospective photo and video gallery commissioned by Florida’s 14th Judicial,Circuit and the Washington County Board of Commissioners, highlighting and documenting the process of inspection, condemnation, demolition and rebuilding of a new state-funded County Courthouse in Washington County, as seen by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.

These photos focus on the retrieval and restoration for re-use of artistic and architectural details from the original building, for reuse in the new building, in conjunction with the Washington County Historical Society and other civic groups.
