In a fairly quick 6-0 vote Thursday afternoon members of Chipley’s Planning & Zoning Commission voted to allow placement of a manufactured home on Rhynes Street, Parcel #00-11305-0000.
Chipley Administrator Dan Miner informed commission members that the request by Christopher Chambers met all of the requirements listed by the City, and that there had been no opposition by other property owners in the area to the 2006 manufactured home being brought in by Chambers.
P&Z Commission member Jim Morris did question the condition of the home due to its age, but no red flags were raised.
One man, who said he represented his mother who lives in the area, did ask if bringing in a manufactured home would be the beginning of a trailer park and Miner said “no”.
Morris made the motion to approve the request and Wanda Owens seconded the motion, which was then approved 6-0.
